The UK State Pension is usually paid every four weeks into a chosen account. However, you can request to change the payment frequency to weekly or fortnightly (every two weeks). The specific day of the week your pension is paid depends on the last two digits of your National Insurance number:
00 to 19: Monday
20 to 39: Tuesday
40 to 59: Wednesday
60 to 79: Thursday
80 to 99: Friday
If you wish to change the payment frequency from every four weeks to weekly (or fortnightly), you need to contact the Pension Service directly. This change can only be made if the payments are already being made into a bank account.
